Guatemala is one of the most stunning places I’ve visited. From the natural beauty of Lake Atitlan to the pretty buildings of colonial Antigua.
Come explore . . .
Sunken trees, wispy clouds – the daily view from the village of San Pedro
Colourful street art showcasing the creative talents of the locals
The best apartment (and office) – Pasajcap – village of San Marcos
The most stunning sunsets
The sweetie cafes. La Isla Verde in the village of Santa Cruz
Docks to lounge on. Docks to jump off.
The beauty of Antigua’s buildings
The colours of the buildings are stunning
You’ll fall in love with the details of the doors
Everywhere you look the volcanoes loom above you. View in Antigua
The changing patterns of clouds on the hills as storms sweep across the lake
- If you are looking for accommodation around the lake then take a look at these two Facebook Groups – San Marcos Atitlan Community and Panajachel, Lake Atitlan, Guatemala
- Always make sure you have small notes. Some places won’t be able to change a 100Q note. You can change money at the banks in San Pedro or Panajachel and most of the tiendas will be able to change notes once you’ve purchased something.
