Guatemala is one of the most stunning places I’ve visited. From the natural beauty of Lake Atitlan to the pretty buildings of colonial Antigua.

I lived on the Lake for 3 months, pet sitting in the village of San Pedro and then renting an apartment outside the village of San Marcos. It was an incredible experience.

Travel Tips:

  • Always make sure you have small notes. Some places won’t be able to change a 100Q note. You can change money at the banks in San Pedro or Panajachel and most of the tiendas will be able to change notes once you’ve purchased something.
