My trip to Sydney started with pouring rain yet there was still lots to do. The weather cleared and I got to see Sydney at its best.
Sydney is a fantastic city with so many things to do. These were my favourite things to do when it was beautifully sunny outside:
Catch a ferry
The best way to appreciate Sydney is from the water. The city has a system of ferries to get you around. These photos are from my trip from Pyrmont to Circular Quay and then onto Manly.
Go for a walk
Strolling around inner city is great for people watching and seeing beautiful old (and new) buildings.
If you want to walk in nature then I’d suggest heading to:
Royal Botanical Gardens – I walked from the Sydney Opera House around Farm Cove to Mrs Macquarie’s Point then through the gardens. A great mix of sights with a nice café spot within the gardens.
Hyde Park – this park sits next to the CBD and is a beautiful area to stroll and to sit.
Go to the beach
Australia has some of the best beaches in the world so if you get the chance grab your jandals and your togs and head along.
Although Bondi Beach can get busy it’s a great beach to visit although stay within the flags as it can have a strong undercurrent.
Manly is another beautiful beach; quieter and with a charm of its own.
